EURAXLES is a 3,5 year R&D project led by UNIFE – the association of the European rail Industry –  uniting 23 partners across Europe and co-funded by the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Development.

This final event will be the occasion to present the main results and achievements of the project in relation to new approaches to axle design, improved axle protection against corrosion, alternative coating solutions, as well as results of investigation in NDT inspection methods.

The agenda for the event will be communicated to confirmed participants.

EURAXLES: Paving the way to enhanced railway safety – European Railway Review

EURAXLES already achieved developing load spectra for different rolling stock types, as well as for different kinds of track and different usages. In parallel, a method to analyse a fatigue load with variable amplitudes and determine a "fatigue-equivalent load" is being developed…

EURAXLES will be present at InnoTrans 2012

The project will be showcased from 18 to 21 September 2012.

During the InnoTrans 2012, EURAXLES is organizing a Presentation & Cocktail. The event, a joint event with the TRANSFEU project will take place on Tuesday, 18 September from 17h00 to 18h00 at the UNIFE Stand, Hall 4.2, Stand 120.

The event will feature a short presentation on the progress of each project. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the project partners and to talk about the project with them.
